Arts & Culture in Miami
When you think of Miami, its lively arts scene and vibrant culture likely come to mind. Its Coconut Grove neighborhood in particular is home to some of the city's most exciting art celebrations, like the Coconut Grove Arts Festival. Coconut Grove has long been considered Miami's original arts district, and this annual festival honors that title!
Held every February (Presidents' Day Weekend) here in Coconut Grove, tend of thousancs of people visit every year to appreciate local art in one of the country's largest outdoor festivals. You won't want to miss it, especially if you're an art lover!
There are numerous cultural attractions to see on your trip to Miami. Take a tour of the breathtaking Vizcaya Museum & Gardens, or see other amazing artists at Perez Art Museum (PAMM), The Bass Museum of Art , or Midori Gallery. You can even see Miami's original street art museum, Wynwood Walls. There's always something exciting to explore in Miami, and that's one of our favorite parts about sharing our city with visitors like you.
Best Restaurants in Miami
Miami's food culture is known for its fresh seafood, Cuban food, and other Latin American influences. While you're here, you have to try a classic cuban sandwich, stone crab, and of course a slice of delicious key lime pie (we'd recommend Fookem's Fabulous Key Lime Pie, by the way).
Luckily, you're in the right place to experience the amazing food culture of Miami. Coconut Grove is an exciting neighborhood, offering some of the best restaurants in South Florida.
Whether you are in the mood for authentic Northern Italian cuisine at Strada in the Grove, traditional Thai noodles at Atchana’s Homegrown Thai, a lobster reuben at The Spillover or a chef-curated pizza from Harry’s Pizzeria, Coconut Grove is the spot for foodies!
Things to Do in Miami
One of the top activities in Miami is, of couse, the beach! South Beach is one of our favorites, and the most well-known in Miami. But you can also check out Darwin Beach, Crandon Beach Park, and Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park. You can't go wrong with any of these options!
There's plenty to do besides the beach, as well. Want to shop 'til you drop? Check out the Shops at Merrick Park, Shops at Sunset Place, or the Dadeland Mall.
If you're traveling with your kiddos, there are plenty of family-friendly activities in Miami, as well. Check out the Miami Children’s Museum, Zoo Miami, Jungle Island, Monkey Jungle, or Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden if you want to explore fun yet educational activities for your youngsters!
